Their goal behind founding Zazen was to create an accessible and personalized approach to website design, Search Engine Optimization and branding that could help entrepreneurs achieve their goals.
At Zazen Consulting Services, Jacquie and Hayley use their knowledge and experience to create unique website designs, SEO strategies, and brand portfolios that are tailored to each client’s individual needs. JACQUIE HOWALD
Jacquie is a passionate website designer and SEO specialist with an impressive educational background and experience. She obtained a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Guelph, is an experienced administrative assistant and has also worked in child development for over 10 years. Jacquie is a member of the queer community and brings a unique lens of inclusivity to each design and development experience she is a part of.
In her free time Jacquie likes to spend time outdoors playing soccer, camping or just with friends and family, but also enjoys a night in with her partner, two cats and German Shepherd. Her main focus is Zazen Consulting, but also enjoys being a nanny for families within the Waterloo Region.
Jacquie is an experienced designer and has a proven track record of success in website design and search engine optimization. She understands the importance of creating an aesthetically pleasing website and loves the challenge of creating a website that meets her clients' needs and expectations. She is committed to helping her clients succeed by turning their vision into reality and helping them reach their goals.

Hayley is a highly experienced Business Development Consultant and trained paralegal. She obtained her Master's Degree from Toronto Metropolitan University, and has been working in the field of business development for over ten years. With a strong background in legal studies, Hayley is well-equipped to help businesses understand the legal and regulatory frameworks surrounding their operations.
Hayley is a dynamic professional with a passion for driving positive change and fostering growth. With a diverse background in project management, business consultancy, and operations management, she brings a wealth of experience to every endeavor. Hayley's journey as a co-founder of Zazen Consulting Services showcases her entrepreneurial spirit and ability to craft business strategies, build brands, and develop dynamic online presences. At the University of Waterloo, she has excelled as a Project Manager, driving continuous improvement and nurturing collaborative relationships. SKYE CUTHBERTSON
Skye’s love for letters was apparent from a young age, and she could often be found snuggled up with a good book or writing stories in her favourite notebook. As an adult, Skye has channeled that same passion into her studies at Queen’s University, where she is completing her fourth year in an Honours degree with a major in English Literature. Before Queen’s, Skye attended St. Lawrence College, where she earned a law clerk diploma. She is currently employed as a law clerk at Kingston’s busiest family law firm, where her attention to detail and strong communication skills help her team to succeed.
Skye enjoys getting outside with her two-year-old German Shepard, gardening, and curling up with a good whodunit. Skye’s love for Agatha Christie and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle inspire her, and consistently remind her of the power of great storytelling. One day, she hopes to write her own whodunit.
Now, Skye’s focusing her talent for writing on creating interesting and engaging content for businesses who are looking to expand their online presence and reach a wider audience. She is always amazed by the power of words to create connections, and is excited to share her passion for engaging writing!

Michelle is the photographer and owner of Sisterhood Photography Co, a female owned and operated photo company based in the GTA. She specializes in branding and portrait photography designed to boost confidence in both you and your brand, so that you can set yourself apart from the competition through eye-catching visuals. With Michelle, you can be certain that your photos will be taken in a comfortable, empowering, and safe space.
Outside of photography, you can find Michelle at her local gym lifting weights or hanging out with friends at her favourite shops or restaurants. She is a social butterfly and is always making new friendships and connections everywhere she goes.
More than just a photography company, the Sisterhood was made to bring together powerful and talented women who all aspire to dream bigger and do better for the world and themselves. Zazen Consulting has it's roots in mental health, therefore we primarily work with Psychotherapists, Social Workers, Psychologists, Psychiatrists and any other mental health workers with a private practice.
However, Zazen Consulting also works with any service providers within the Wellness Industry in Canada. If you aren't in the Wellness Industry but would like to work with Zazen, please do not hesitate to reach out and we can discuss your business needs!
